Nobel for Obama!

The Norwegian Nobel Committee's decision to award the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize to U.S. President Barack Obama is welcomed though but unacceptable.

Winning the Nobel Peace comes as welcome news for this world devastated by racial, regional and religious tensions. His domestic and foreign policies has got all ingredients for a perfect peaceful society, one of such is non-nuclear weapons and against wars. Mr. President who released his Armed forces from Iraq is a fine example and wants to interact with Muslim people, where his predecessor Bush filled with hatred.

Mr. President yet to turn his promises into action plan. I think its too early to give him Nobel.

Actually in the past this prize is awarded in recognition of the achievements done, it has awarded to Obama with the express of hope that he will work on the promises, initiatives and future non-nuclear weapons for the peace of world.
All people of the world once again looks at the States and President Obama should now walk the extra mile to deliver his plans into actions.

The one only reason for awarding Nobel to Obama, hopes the prize will help him translate his promises into action. No doubt he is at best a promising leader who has offered hope for a better future and captured attention of all Americans, who were looking for a change.

In my opinion the prize lost its value when it failed to honour Mahatma Gandhi, one of the great leaders representing Peace and Non-violence.

What makes Mahatma Gandhi ineligible contender for Nobel Peace?
